So, after a couple trials, and migrating to a new site that didn't quite work, I'm coming back to this blog. I haven't really posted anything on my personal sites in a while, choosing to instead invest in easier platforms like Instagram and Facebook, but I always kind of regretted abandoning all the work I had put in this blog for years, even if some of the early works looks amateurish. So I'm hosting two sites, this one for all my blogging ideas and artworks, and a second one on which I've republished every comic I've done since I started college and that I will update with new pages when possible.

Yay ! Finally, the blog is back after a 3-months-long break. I hope you enjoyed this new chapter of the Barely Fake Diary ! This one was a long time coming (I actually wrote most of it last summer). More content is coming soon.

I actually rarely go to Starbucks as I drink very little coffee. I like and occasionnally visit Second Cup though, but it's not as widely known so the joke could have flown over some people's heads.

Also, I would never want to go to Neverland. Obviously I don't think I'm old (I'm twenty-two today, which barely qualifies as adulthood, let alone old age !). I'm fine with aging (I'm actually pretty excited about it) and I would definitely not want to stay the same age for ever. Besides, an island full of snotty and loud unsupervised brats, no thanks - my god, I am a grumpy old man !

I just realized I spent most summer going to theme parties and thus having to buy tons of clothes (that I may or may not ever use again). Little sample of how to fit a theme.

Tiens, je crois queje ne me suis jamais autant rapproché de la note de blog girly (y'a même du maquillage et des talons).

Yesterday was a very good day !! My project was accepted on Webcomics.fr !! I'm going to publish Wood as soon as I would have finished re-drawing the first chapter (because I can't decently publish the first version from my high-school freshman year...). Read it when it's online !!

Sinon, j'en profite pour vous annoncer deux bonnes nouvelles ! J'ai été accepté sur le site Webcomics.fr, je vais donc pouvoir publier Wood d'ici peu (je suis en train de redessiner les premiers chapitres). Dès que la première planche sera en ligne, je vous communiquerais l'adresse ! En attendant allez faire un tour sur leur site, il est génial.

As for the Francofête comics contest... I received the third prize !! It's a 200$ check to use in a Montréal's bookshop. Unfortunately, I won't be able to use it before I come back in August as the prize giving is the day when I leave (I'll just have time to take it before heading to the airport). I'll publish the whole 2-pages comics on Sunday, as Saturday is the So Lucky Are Boys day !!


L'autre bonne nouvelle c'est que... j'ai gagné le troisième prix du concours organisé à l'occasion de la Francofête !! Il s'agit d'un bon de 200$ d'achats dans une librairie, ce qui me permettra de me procurer du vrai matériel de pro pour mes BDs... l'année prochaine puisque la remise des prix est le jour de mon départ; j'aurais juste le temps d'aller le chercher avant d'aller à l'aéroport !
En tous cas vous pourrez bientôt lire cette BD car, une fois n'est pas coutume, je la publierais en entier dès après demain (samedi étant le jour de publication de So Lucky Are Boys).

Comme vous voyez, publier une vieille BD n'est pas une excuse pour ne rien faire. Voici une petite incursion dans ma psyché quotidienne avec quelques (vraies) pensées aux (vrais) endroits où elles ont surgi... A vos risques et périls !!

What you need to know if you're clueless about hockey :
- In Montréal, everyone is a fan of the hockey team, les Canadiens.
- Latendresse is a member of the team (his name means "tenderness")
- Hockey players often fight on the ice for no reason (and that's so cool !!)


This is a parody. My friends and I ain't like that for real. Most of the time.

Ce que vous devez savoir pour comprendre :
- A Montréal, tout le monde est fan des "Canadiens", l'équipe de hockey locale
- Latendresse est le nom d'un de ses membres
- Les joueurs de hockey ont pour habitude de se battre (oui se battre, avec coups de poings et tout) pour pas grand chose, et c'est trop fun.

Avertissement ; ceci est une parodie. Toutes les personnes caricaturées ici ne sont pas vraiment comme ça (la plupart du temps.)
